Kyla moved to Victoria in 2007 to train for triathlon with the National Triathlon Centre. In that time she graduated from the University of Victoria with a BSc Kinesiology with Distinction. Throughout her triathlon career, Kyla was fortunate to work with some of the best international coaches, strength trainers, therapists and physiologist and gained a world of knowledge from them. She also faced many challenges in sport that could not be solved by others which inspired her to turn to her own education to maximize her health and performance.
Kyla has since been certified as an exercise physiologist, and uses her experience as a professional athlete to help others achieve their health and fitness goals. She is very inquisitive and driven to stay on top of the most current exercise science.
Kyla enjoys the challenge of achieving each individual’s unique goals and aims to maximize each client’s success in a manor that is tailored to their lifestyle. She finds inspiration in all level of athletes and has experienced great success training elite athletes seeking to maximize their potential, as well as new gym-goers hoping to get in shape. She specializes in injury prevention and rehabilitation by implementing functional and comprehensive long-term programs, as well as kicking clients’ butts in the gym!
