Colin holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology with a focus in Sports Injury Management from Acadia University and a Masters of Physical Therapy from The University of British Columbia. He holds his certification for medical acupuncture form the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and continues to pursue ongoing education in his advanced manual therapy and dry needling techniques. Colin has a long history as a competitive rower. He has competed in number of races throughout North America including Canadian nationals, the Royal Canadian Henley regatta, the Canadian summer games and the head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. He has worked as a team therapist with a wide variety of athletes at the high school and university levels, including: varsity hockey, rugby and football teams. In his spare time he is currently pursing an interest in cyclocross racing.
As a Kinesiologist and registered Physiotherapist, Colin is trained in the analysis of human movement and uses these skills to assess, diagnosis and treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries throughout the body. He believes in a collaborative treatment approach with his patients and feels a balance of patient education, manual therapy techniques and specific exercise prescription are the keys to timely rehabilitation, pain management, improvements in performance and ongoing prevention of injury. Colin has a particular interest in pre and post operative spinal rehabilitation as well as non-operative lumbo pelvic disorders.
