If you have been involved in a motor vehicle collision, have been injured on the job, or need to recover from a chronic condition, the integrated range of treatments Synergy Health offers can help you get better much more quickly.

Many of Synergy’s services and treatments are covered by common insurance plans in British Columbia, including the extended health plan provided by your employer, WorkSafeBC coverage, and ICBC coverage. The BC Medical Service Plan (MSP) may also cover some of Synergy’s treatments.

When you are recovering from injury, the BC provincial government health plan (MSP) covers core health services including:

Medically required services provided by a physician
Diagnostic services, (x-rays, laboratory services provided at approved facilities when ordered by a registered physician, or certain other health care practitioners).

The government health plan may provide limited coverage for other services provided at Synergy Health Clinic.
After that, to make sure you get the full range of treatments you need to recover from your injury, Synergy Health then works with insurance providers.

Extended health benefits- WE OFFER DIRECT BILLING TO MOST PLANS

Many workplaces offer “extended health benefits” (such as Pacific Blue Cross) that fund or reimburse treatments above and beyond MSP.

For example, chiropractic visits, physiotherapy, and massage therapy are often covered by extended health benefits. These plans also almost always cover orthotics, and also fund visits with acupuncturists and naturopaths.

Extended health benefits are the first step to accessing these resources.

WorkSafe BC coverage

If you have been injured on the job, WorkSafe BC (WCB) will cover treatments at Synergy that speed your rehabilitation, including physiotherapy, chiropractic visits, massage therapy, naturopaths and more. Sometimes WorkSafe BC coverage will fund braces and orthotics.

ICBC insurance and medical benefits

If you have been injured in an automobile collision, ICBC medical benefits will often cover physiotherapy, chiropractic visits, massage therapy, acupuncture and consultations with a naturopath. ICBC medical benefits also cover visits with a kinesiologist and will cover braces, orthopaedic supports and others as required.

You can check with your provider in advance to find out about specific treatments that fall under their guidelines.
